Michigan woman makes Keith Olberman's Worst list

How sad is it when a person puts a sign on her lawn stating no Halloween treats for Obama supporters? A woman for Gross Pointe Hills, Michigan told children (including those so young that they can't read) that they will get no candy as long as they support Obama. She made the news with an interview from the local Fox News channel showing her saying, ' no candy for tricksters and liars'.

Wow. She is as compassionate and kind as the idiot that carved a B on her face. The woman pictured claimed a black man did this to her after saying she supported McCain. Are there crazies from the Obama campaign that we aren't hearing about? Or have Republicans become so angry at the prospect of loosing the election that they will resort to using children as pawns. Consider this when making your selection tomorrow.

Cooper's pals

These are some of Cooper's dog friends. They were featured in the Ann Arbor News recently in an article about the renewal of the county park millage

We walk at County Farm Park with them off and on. We don't see them as often in the cold weather. As you can see they have their coats on and it's only November. Imagine how cold these adorable Italian Greyhounds get in February.

Vote yes for the millage on Tuesday!

A picture is worth a thousand words

Frankly, I'll be glad when this election is over. I'm tired to the news being all about the details of the daily schedule of the candidates.

It's gotten a little ridiculous over the past few months with the negative and outright false accusations. I'm hoping that the public has finally woken up and is thinking for themselves.

Still there are folks who just believe everything that comes across their desk and TV. I see it everyday. It makes one wonder how those people keep their jobs. Incompetence is rampant. Only 17 days to go. I'm anxious for it to end, but fearful for another Republican outcome.

I want Sarah Palin to go home to Alaska! Click here to have a little fun at her expense.

I can't help myself

Looks like I'm on a political roll right now. I found this the other day and decided I needed to share it.

Take it to heart, and vote Democratic this November. No more of the same please.

And don't get me started on Sarah Palin. She is quickly becoming a joke which is comforting as that can only work in the Democrats favor.

A little political humor

Sometimes (regularly) this is how it feels to the average Joe. I fear for where our country is headed. It sure seems like the little guys (voters) are bearing the burden of the fat cats (5% of the population that owns 95% of the wealth). I hope that we will see some real change in the future.

In a way... I got my wish!

Someone out there seems to be thinking along the same lines as me. At least I'm hoping 51% or greater are thinking along the same lines as me.

Thanks for the updated version of an older political sign that I wished for a while back. To see it, click here. It's not quite what I was looking for, but it'll do.

Sarah Palin is wrong for this country

Sarah Palin is a scary woman whom I believe is the current generations Phylis Schaffley. An intolerant woman who has no business being on the Vice Presidential ticket. She has been isolated in Alaska, far removed from the lower 48, with limited travel experience. She has been to Canada and Mexico but just acquired her first passport last year and had never traveled over seas until this year. How can we entrust a person who has no real world experience to be one seat away from the presidency when John McCain is 72 years old? This alone should scare everyone.

If that is not enough, then here is a snippet from her first interview with Charles Gibson from ABC. There is plenty to watch on youtube, but this piece accentuates her lack of basic knowledge that a President should have. She doesn't know what the Bush Doctrine is. That is the equivalent to a doctor not knowing where the kidney is. Kind of a necessity to be able to preform the job.

Don't let this beauty queen fool you. She is not pro-women. In a strange way she reminds me of Clarence Thomas. Not realizing that she is where she is because others fought hard for her to have that right. That disconnect is all the proof I need to know she is not a compassionate conservative. (Whatever that means.)

Other reasons to vote Democratic:

Sarah Palin charges rape victims for the cost of their rape kit,
Believes that she should 'put it in G-ds hands' when making governing decisions (sound familiar?),
She believes that global warming is a farce,

If you haven't registered to vote, please do it now. If we have another four years of 'Bush', who knows where we will be. This is very disheartening. Vote democratic!

Funny!

Need anything more be written? Except perhaps, that we need an updated version?

John McCain is no moderate...

It's interesting how many people still think Senator John McCain's positions are "moderate" when it comes to reproductive health care and rights, when the opposite is true. Do your friends and family know that John McCain's views on important issues like women's health are just as bad or worse than President Bush's? Do your part to dispel the myth! Share this video, created Brave New Films. Your words today and during the next few months matter.

Otherwise, your next President might just decide to take actions on his statement,  "I do not support Roe verses Wade. It should be overturned."

There is MUCH riding on this election. Register to vote and make your voice heard!

Update on past shame

Prostitute takes trespassing plea

A woman accused of having paid sex with the husband of Michigan U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of trespassing.

Prosecutors dropped a prostitution charge against 21-year old Alycia Martin in exchange for Thursday's plea.

Investigators conducting surveillance Feb. 26 at a Troy hotel stopped 46-year old Thomas Athans. They say Stabenow's husband acknowledged meeting Martin through the Internet and paying her $150 for sex.

Authorities didn't bring charges against Athans.

Troy District Judge William Bolle sentences Martin on August 12. The Westland woman faces up to 90 days in jail but could avoid jail and a record under s state law for young defendants.

NOT ANOTHER ONE!

What is it about men and their sex lives? There sure has been a lot of press on this topic lately.

  • First, we had Former Governor Elliot Spitzer. Imagine being his wife and having to endure that public humiliation?
  • Next, Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick with his alleged (ah-humph) affair with his chief of staff Christine Beatty. This fiasco already cost the taxpayers $8.4 million dollars in cover up money, and who knows how much more while it makes it's way through the legal system....
  • But wait! Now we have Senator Debbie Stabenow's husband paying a prostitute for a blow job?!
What is up? Other than the obvious. Are these the actions of unhappy folks due to economic discontent? The inability to find a good tailor with experience using zippers? Or, have I become a addicted news junkie that is noticing more of this garbage than I have in the past? (i.e. too much time on my hands?) Enough already, when will it end?
